BEAUTIFUL CAPPADOCIA!
Whilst browsing the Web, I ran across
this graphic that was prepared by Eric Raspaut of Paris, France.
Although it did not specifically depict Apollonius of Tyana, it
certainly could have, with the long hair, the beard, the bird,
the Sun. Merci, Eric!
The Cappadocia Region is located
in Central Türkiye on a high plain. It is not at all affected
by a maritime climatic influence and in many ways is quite similar
geographically to West Texas. Here are some miscellaneous tourist
photos of the region.
These are phallic stones which have
been carved from the natural rocky landscape of Cappadocia.
Note the similarity between the
photo of Cappadocia above and that of West Texas below.
